The Avella Area Public Library's mission is to provide material items and services free of charge to the community.

- The library has over 900 DVDs that can be viewed free of charge.
- The library offers free internet access to the public and free meeting space.
- The library offers a free Summer Reading Program to children in July
- Overdrive, which allows patrons to download ebooks free of charge, is offered through the library website.
- Fax and copy services are offered to the public.
